"Weather" or Not...

The previous government, consisting mainly of University bred champagne socialist townies have encouraged, nay, practically forced the populace in buying low powered town cars and positively ridiculed those “country folks” who had what they termed to be environmentally unfriendly 4 x 4’s or other practical cars.

At the same time money was spent by local authorities on Guardianesta-type jobs such as Gay Lesbian and Transgender Outreach Officers, Anti Social Behaviour Officers, Performance & Management Information Managers, etc... instead of keeping contingency funds available for the vagrancies of the British weather.

Throw into this the naff state of public transport and the result is utter chaos whenever snow appears.

Let’s remember that Britain is a Northern country - 51 degrees North. Same as a number of cities in Canada, and the same as Alaska. At some point there will be snow.

So OK for over a decade or so, the weather has been mediocre, wet summers, wet winters, but now we are getting proper seasons again and it’s about time that the British start showing backbone... starting with schools.

As if teachers don’t get enough holidays, now they close schools as soon as a few flakes appear! Folks, all that you are doing is instilling the idea that it OK to bunk off work as soon as the weather gets inclement. This compounds the workshy mentality of more and more people and hardly helps the economy...
