Surez, Evra, JT and the likes...
Never
has the state of English football been more highlighted that by the events of
the last week or so.
Let's
start with the Suarez and Evra spat. Evra is a whiny little git who ran to
teacher because Suarez said some bad words at him. Suarez is an ignorant moron,
who refuses to accept that he has said anything wrong. Presumably they couldn't
find anybody in LFC with enough intelligence to explain to the Uruguayan that
certain words and expressions are not tolerated in this over sensitive, thinned
skinned society that we live in, especially when dealing with the aforementioned
whiny French git. If they do find such person, maybe they could swing over to
the Liverpool manager's office and explain this to him.
Suarez
has now served his sentence and this should the end of the matter.
But no. Of
course it isn't.
During the ridiculous shaking of hands ritual at the start of
the game, Surez refused to shake Evra's hand. Personally, I wouldn't want to
shake the hand of the whiny tosser that got me an 8 match ban either. But
typically, Evra, rather than just shrugging his shoulders in a Gallic manner
like any man of integrity, turned to the officials with a "miss, miss,
look what he's done, miss" look. Pathetic.
On top
of this all, Sir Lord Almighty Alex Fergusson denounces the Uruguayan saying
that Suarez should never be allowed to play again. Come on! All he did was to
fail to shake hands with a whiny French tosser! And then, God help us, Rio
Ferdinand, a man who could lose an intellectual argument with a six years old,
also threw in his tuppence worth...
Fortunately,
Suarez has issued an apology for his foolish behaviour and I
would hope that this matter will be closed...
Onto the
demise of Mr Cappelo. This was caused by his loyalty to a man who doesn't deserve
it, John Terry. The latter is a man who considers the England Captaincy as his
right and not as an honour (not that he knows the meaning of the word). He got
a court injunction against the press revealing that he can't keep his dick in
his trousers because he knew that he would lose the captaincy and some
lucrative sponsorship deals. And now? John Terry is in trouble with the Law. Rather than doing the honourable thing by relinquishing the captaincy for the
good of the England team until his court case, he hangs onto it for dear life.
It took the FA, in a rare moment of lucidity, have the gumption to do the right
thing. The point is that to John Terry, and his likes, treat playing for
England as a right, not a privilege an attitude which was reflected on the
pitch in South Africa.
Fabio Coppelo was in the process of rebuilding an England team with eager, younger players. A team that were good enough to beat the World champions: Spain. However his Achilles heel was his devotion to JT and the old guard, which has resulted in his demise…
