Racist Comments

Two high profile football players have been accused of saying something inappropriate. Typically, the reaction was that neither Luis Suarez nor John Terry are racists and that they have friends and colleagues who are black, blah, blah, blah...

The issue here is not whether these overpaid prima-donnas are racist; it’s the fact that they said something that they shouldn’t.
If the pair of them had gone to the press and said something like:
“I know that I said something that I shouldn’t of and I would like to apologise if I caused offence. I appreciate that what I said was wrong and I will be more than happy to accept any punishment that FA may deem fit”
The FA could then have given them a 1 or 2 match ban and a few quid fine and that would be the end of the matter.

But no, instead they behave like children by coming up with pathetic excuses, Suarez with his “cultural differences” bullshit and Terry with his preposterous claim of misunderstanding.

The FA, quite rightly, have thrown the book at the Liverpool player and, of course, the Liverpool fans, players and management are in outrage.
“Suarez is not racist!” they cry.
No he isn’t, he just said something racist to a black player, which contravenes FA rules, Ground regulations and the Law and should therefore be punished.

People have admired how John Terry has risen above what is happening to him by a splendid performance against Spurs, like he was some kind of persecuted saint. What trash! Terry’s arrogance is such that he seriously believes that he has done nothing wrong that he is too important to be prosecuted for such a minor offence. His risible excuse that he called Anton Ferdinand a “blind ****” rather than a “black ****” and the expectation that we are to believe this, is further indication that he lives in a cloud-cuckoo land.

  1. Totally agree. Also, I find it annoying that the clubs seem to think it's their duty to 'support their player' whatever. AVB believes in JT and will support him as he "knows what he stands for" [hmm, there's an interesting poser] and Liverpool FC prints up shirts for 'their gang' like it's West Side Fucking Story! Meanwhile, Ferguson is happy because he's got what he wants. Complete mess. Ban the lot of them!
